No news has to be good news...right?

Well there isn't much to update about the pregnancy. I am still at 1cm and nothing much is happening. But I was ok to hear that since my husband was out of town until today. Now...it's ok if he wants to come but I'm content to have him wait another week or so. We did have an ultrasound and he's looking to be about 7.5 pounds. Maybe I don't want him in there too much longer otherwise he'll be nearing the 9 pound mark (ahhhh). It's just a waiting game now but he's healthy and I'm happy!

38 Weeks

Wow...I look like a baloon. And I feel like a hippo. The memories I will have forever. I have a doctor's appointment today...hopefully I've progressed from 1 cm which was last week. But not too much...I would like him to wait another 2 weeks. That's when Grandma Facer will be here! Werid...my mom as "Grandma Facer". So exciting though. I'll update about the appointment later!

It's the week of Television

So I have to admit to my little addiction to T.V. I have some very specific television shows that I watch and then other than those shows, I don't watch anything else. My list seems to be getting longer though and I'm watching more t.v than ever before (that's what no job and waiting for a baby do for you.) In no particular order....

Wow, I now sound like a complete couch potatoe. I swear my house is clean, I do the laundry, I make dinner for my hubby every night, and I have a life! But I do love these shows.

Our Christmas Holiday

So I just kept putting off a new post for Christmas because I did not have pictures yet....But WHO NEEDS PICTURES!

Is there a blogging rule that you cannot post unless you attach cute photos? NO! And so, while I await the pictures from my in-laws (note to self: Always bring own camera to Christmas so as to not rely on others)....I will post with words and perhaps get pictures on later.

It's really over. The whole Holiday Season; gone. It was just amazing though. I have already mentioned the wedding we had. What a crazy weekend! I worked way to much for my current condition but I think it's in my blood. I can't just stand around and say, "oh I'm pregnant...I'll just sit here." I feel guilty that everyone around is bustling to do this or that and as a true blooded Facer, you just are not satisfied with watching and waiting. That wedding weekend, I was up late working on details, worked all day Friday to set up at the reception, got up super early to do Lindsey's bridal hair, and kept going and going with the festivities. Amidst all the glory of the wedding, I was stressing and preparing for our Sunday Christmas Sacrament Program. The one I was completely in charge of. I pulled it off though. In fact I have never received such generous compliments from so many people. I am grateful for the Spirit which was felt, I know that I could not do it without the Spirit and I'm so glad that it was present.

The next few days (22-24) were a little bit calmer. The days consisted of gingerbread house making, doctor's appointment, haircuts, gourmet dinner prep and eating, games, nativity scene reinactment, Christmas Eve seafood dinner, present wrapping, stockings stuffed, and anticipation for the Day of Christmas.

CHRISTMAS MORNING

Oh what a day. It's like the baby knew what day it was because at 5:30am...kick, kick, flip, movement, kick. I was not going back to sleep. Half hour later the little kids came in (we slept over at the in-laws almost an entire 2 weeks over the holidays). The madness began. Everyone was in their Christmas Eve jammies, and all the girls had french braids from the night before. We went around the room; youngest to oldest, one at a time until the tree stood empty. A few highlights for me....

The list, of course, could go on. We played guitar hero with two guitars and a singer (we have yet to get drums), then just hang out playing new board games, eating way too much food and spending the entire day in our pajamas. No one got out of them until the next day. Boxing day was a continual of games and lounging. The family played a great game of football and we had dinner with other friends and family.

And before we all knew it...2009 was at the door. Happy New Year! I love that I am back in my own bed, in my own house. I have set up all the baby stuff and have started the laundry process for all his new clothes, blankets, bedding, etc. I am excited for time to fly out the window and for labor to begin. Ok so maybe that last part I'm not 'excited' for....but I want to have a baby to hold; I guess that means I do want labor to come...ahhhhh!

A Winter Wedding

Hooray for Weddings!!!

My brother-in-law Nathan got married 5 days before Christmas and it was an absolutely beautiful day. I loved that it brought back memories of my own special day not too long ago. Congrates to both Nathan and Lindsey...we love you! Hope you're having a great time in Australia on your honeymoon!

32 Weeks

I'm getting bigger, He's getting bigger, and we're getting closer to the due date. I am so excited. I really can't wait. I love that the appointments are now two weeks apart, I love that yesterday I finally figured out where his head, feet, and little bum is, I even love that he moves so much that it makes me sick to my stomache. It all means that I have a healthy baby boy.

Besides all of the happy stuff, I am more uncomfortable, I have a harder time sleeping, even maternity clothes are getting tighter. It's great though. Really great.

Cute Projects

I discovered something about my hubby and I. We both need to have a project at all times. David usually does something with computers/technology but has also liked doing the dog house and now is working on re-upholstering a chair for the nursery.

I like doing crafty stuff. Now that painting is finished; I've been making blankets and burp cloths.

These are two flannel rag quilts I did in no time at all. The blue one is for me, the pink is for my friend, Kellie.

Our Puppy and Snow

A few days ago, it's snowed all night and didn't stop until the next morning. Two hours later, our front yard looked like this.

She was having a bit of fun I think. And this is her guard dog spot. From here, she can see into our kitchen, see the gate, see her dog house and hear the kids walking to school.

A Different Kind of thanksGIVING

This year we had a new kind of plan for the Thanksgiving holiday. Instead of turkey, stuffing, and pies; we experienced sheetrock, itchy insulation, and lots of hammering, nails, caulking...etc. The list could go on and on. The women mostly concentrated on the painting. We were able to finish the piano studio, both kids room, and the office. I can't believe how hard we all worked. I think even a week later we are all feeling the effects. However, every muscle pain was worth the memories and the service we gave. Here are some pictures of the progress.

Happy Birthday to Me

Last weekend David and I took a trip to Utah. He has some stuff to finish up at BYU and was going to be gone Sunday November 23. I said, no way! I am not being alone on my birthday; so I bought a plane ticket too! Happy Birthday to me!

It was so good to to see my brothers, family and friends! Oh friends, I love having people to play with! We haven't really made friends since moving so it was great to have some for a few days. I went to see Twilight (which I will not give my opinion now since some people probably haven't seen it and I didn't want to know what people thought beforehand so I'm not going to say anything at this time.) We also went out to dinner with almost everyone I love in Utah.




We ate at Shoots. It's a Chinese restaurant; and not as good as it was when it first opened unfortunately. Earlier I had gone shopping all day with Emily. We bought lots of fun stuff at Baby Depot in Burlington Coat Factory. For those with babies, or soon to be....SHOP THERE! They have such great prices on clothes! And they are cute!

Kellie took me for a pedicure. We needed this picture too. I couldn't leave without a comparison. I personally think we look the same (we are 2 days apart) It's funny though because I'm taller than her but our tummies are at the same height. Meaning; I carry low, and she carries high. Kinda funny huh!




It was a great birthday and a very fun weekend.

Tis the season

I have been excited for the holidays since September. I really have just been waiting and waiting for Halloween and November to come. David has always said that he doesn't want any decorations up until after Thanksgiving but yesterday he wasn't home. So the decorations went up. That's right, my tree, my nativity scene, stockings...it's all out. I loved getting everything together. I do need David to put up the lights outside so I'll have to wait on those.

As for shopping...I am almost done! Seriously, I think I have 3 presents left and then I am done. I've even started wrapping. It's probably easier since I don't have any kids to shop for yet, only our family names and each other. But still, quite the accomplishment I must say.

Wow, now what am I doing to do in December waiting for Christmas?! Any project ideas?

The Finished Project

IT'S DONE! I updated the slide show since the new wall is done. So all I need for the nursery is a rocker/glider and some drapes. YAY!

The Double Digits

We are in the 3rd trimester....and we are out of the 3 digit countdown and working towards the singles!

Everything about the pregnancy is going great. My little wiggler just doesn't stop wiggling. He loves to move...especially right before I want to go to sleep. Little sinker! Well, this is me at 26 weeks.
